New UPVC Fascia and Cladding
In this project, we completely refreshed the roofline with high-quality uPVC fascia boards and external cladding. The old timber components showed signs of rot, peeling paint, and water damage. Our goal was to not only restore durability but also give the property a clean, low-maintenance upgrade.
Project Highlights & Challenges
- Removal of decayed timber fascias, soffits or existing worn cladding.
- Ensuring the new uPVC components tie in neatly with gutters, roof edges and existing walls.
- Making sure ventilated soffits or hidden vents are incorporated to maintain proper airflow.
- Matching profiles, colours, and trim details so the new look integrates naturally with the property’s style.
Approach & Execution
Careful Removal & Preparation
We stripped out the old fascias, soffits, and cladding carefully to avoid damaging the roof edge, rafters and surrounding surfaces. Any compromised structural timber was repaired or replaced.
Framework & Support Installation
A solid framework was installed as needed to support the new uPVC components—this included backing timbers, trims, and fixing battens to receive the new boards.
Fascia & Soffit Installation
Using weather-resistant uPVC fascia boards, we secured them at the eaves and fascia edges. The soffits were installed beneath the overhang, ensuring proper ventilation and a clean underside finish.
External Cladding Fit
We applied the uPVC cladding to the exterior walls or gable sections as specified, integrating sharp trim, corner detailing, and flashings. The cladding was installed in panels, with overlapping joints and finish trims to prevent water ingress and deliver a crisp aesthetic.
Detailing & Finishing Touches
All joints, corners, and transitions were sealed and secured using compatible trims, caps and sealants. Gutters and downpipes were re-fitted or adjusted to line up with the new fascia. Final checks confirmed alignment, tightness, and water shedding performance.
Results & Benefits
- The new uPVC fascia and cladding provide a maintenance-free exterior: no painting or sanding required.
- Enhanced protection against moisture, rot, and pests in vulnerable roofline areas.
- Improved visual appeal — the property now boasts a crisp, modern finish.
- Better performance over time thanks to the durable materials and weather-tight detailing.
- Because uPVC resists decay and warping, the investment delivers long-term durability, making future repairs much less likely.
